Our Narrative – Introduction
“I strongly believe in the concept of COMÚN UNIDAD: Common Unity = Community. And, as a result, my art, activism, and advocacy reflects the concerns of the community. In that sense, the best approach is to partner with others who are like-minded in order to expand the boundaries of community-based art, culture and unity.”

Director, Bronx Culture Collective
The Bronx Culture Collective (BxCC) was form in Fall 2015 by a group of concerned South Bronx-based artists, arts organizations, and regional leaders as a response to real estate special interests who began to publicly attempt to rename/rebrand the Port Morris section of the South Bronx as the “Piano District” in order to bring attention to thing pending luxury developments.
